Thermal receipt and label printers in Egypt
Thermal printing covers both receipts and labels, using heat-sensitive media rather than ink. It is the lowest-maintenance printing technology in retail: no cartridges, no ribbons on direct thermal models, and very few moving parts.

- Direct thermal — cheapest to run; print fades over months. Right for receipts and shipping.
- Thermal transfer — ribbon-based, print lasts years. Right for asset and shelf labels.
- Width — 58mm and 80mm for receipts; 2, 3 and 4 inch for labels.
