Smart X35 Mixed-Denomination Money Counter

Smart X35 mixed-denomination money counter — a note counter that reads the value of each note and totals the sum, rather than simply counting how many notes passed through.

That is the distinction worth paying for. A basic counter requires notes to be sorted by denomination first, which means the sorting work still falls to a person. A mixed-denomination machine takes the till as it is — notes of several values loose in one stack — and reports the total value directly.

For a shop, restaurant or pharmacy closing a till at the end of a shift, that removes both the sorting and the arithmetic, which is where end-of-day errors actually come from. A miscount found days later cannot be traced back to a customer.

Machines of this class also detect suspect notes as they count, which is a second reason they earn their place at a busy till.
