Syble XB-D40 2D Barcode Scanner

Syble XB-D40 is a 2D barcode scanner — it reads QR codes and other two-dimensional codes as well as ordinary linear barcodes.

The 2D capability is now the reason to choose a scanner rather than a bonus. Digital payment QR codes, loyalty codes on phone screens, product QR codes and government invoicing codes are all two-dimensional, and a traditional laser scanner cannot read any of them.

A 2D imager also reads codes off a phone screen, which a laser scanner struggles with, and it reads a code at any orientation instead of requiring the beam to be lined up with the bars. For a counter that handles phone-based payment or loyalty, that difference is felt immediately.
